YUKI MATSUBARA

I am an HR strategist with extensive experience spanning Japan and Australia, supporting Japanese and international organizations in designing and executing people strategies that drive business performance. Ⅰ understand the challenges international businesses can face in Japan and am passionate about help more of them succeed through tailored and flexible HR solutions and support.

With a foundation in Human Resource Management studies in Australia (Bachelor of Business- HR) and early career experience as an HR Generalist in Sydney within a Japanese organization, I have built a cross-border HR perspective that bridges cultural, organizational, and business contexts.

After returning to Japan, I held HR leadership roles in both multinational and Japanese companies as an HR Manager and HR Business Partner, reporting to executive leadership and supporting business-aligned HR initiatives. My work has included organizational design, performance management systems, talent development, employee engagement, and HR policy and framework design.

Since 2023, I have been working as an independent HR consultant, supporting SMEs in Japan with end-to-end HR strategy execution, including:

  • Talent acquisition strategy and recruitment process design

  • Performance management and evaluation system design and operation

  • HR policy development

  • Organizational structure design and workforce planning

  • Employee engagement and organizational culture improvement

I work closely with executive teams to translate business strategy into actionable people and organization strategies, ensuring HR becomes a driver of growth, scalability, and organizational effectiveness.

Rather than providing isolated HR services, I operate as an embedded HR leader, to design, align, and implement integrated HR systems that support sustainable business growth.
